The 44th International Film Festival of India or IFFI looks to be a star-studded show with actors from Hollywood including Susan Sarandon who has films like Thelma & Louise, Stepmom and Dead Man Walking to her credit.
Susan has accepted to preside over the opening day of IFFI and is even the chief guest for the film festival that begins on 20th November.
The IFFI has also placed invitation for other Hollywood stars like Goldie Hawn, Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman and Cate Blanchett who can make the Goan festival venue glitter with stars.
The director of IFFI said that they were yet to receive confirmation news from other 4 actors whose presence would make the event an extravagant affair.
The European film, Donsajni or The Don Juans by Czech Master Jiri Menzel would be the opening film that would be screened on the first day. The 75-year-old Czech filmmaker is also an actor, screen play writer and theatre director who will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award during the 44th International Film Festival of India.
Majid Majidi, the Iranian film maker would also attend the festival as some of his works would also be screened.
